Ghana's Rocky Dawuni Joins Hilary Clinton In Campaign For Clean Cookstoves

Ghana�s Rocky Dawuni met wife of Bill Clinton, Hilary Clinton and other high profiled dignitaries for the 3rd anniversary celebration of the Global Alliance For Clean Cookstoves in New York City. Mrs. Hilary Clinton launched the Global Alliance at the Clinton Global Initiative under the endorsement of the UN Foundation to boost the worldwide acceptance of clean cooking solutions as a means to help fight air Pollution. During the anniversary, Dawuni also had �serious� interactions with the Chief Executive of the Global Alliance; Radha Murthiah, President of Guatemala; Otto Perez Molina, former president of Ireland; Mary Robinson and CEO of UN Foundation; Cathy Calvin at the George Soros Foundation. Clean Cookstoves are stoves that have been designed to reduce the risk of mortality attributable to indoor smoke from solid fuel, sometimes referred to as indoor air pollution. The Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves is an organisation associated with the United Nations Foundation which provides Clean Cookstoves to a number of people in areas associated with high levels of financial condition to which Rocky Dawuni has been campaign for Clean Cookstoves worldwide. The organization enjoys the support of the United States Department of State and collaborates with a number of independent companies and organizations, such as Bio Lite. Dawuni was appointed as one of the Ambassadors of the initiative in 2012. He joined Academy Award winning actor Julia Roberts, and chef Jose Andres as global champions.
