Mahama-Led Administration Is Blind, Deaf...Lacks Feeling

National Youth Organizer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Emmanuel Atefuah Danso has descended heavily on President Mahamas led administration for their inability to govern the nation as promised during in their Better Ghana manifesto. He said government has over the past five years been unresponsive to the plight of Ghanaians who voted for a better Ghana. According to him, the Mahama-led administration is blind, making it impossible to deliver his promises. What is going on is not good. This government is suffering from Audio-Visual-Orally-Impairment. The government is blind, deaf and doesnt have feelings for Ghanaians. No one is saying there shouldnt be increment on tax, but the problem is, they dont use the money to develop this country, he asserted. He was commenting on the recent tariff increment announced by the Public Regulatory Utilities Commission (PURC). The 78.9 percent and 52 percent increment in electricity and water tariffs respectively have spark public uproar nationwide, but PURC says nothing can be done to reduce the tariff hikes. Organized labour, led by the Trades Union Congress (TUC) last Tuesday, October 8, gave government and PURC a 10-day ultimatum to reduce the tariff increment by one-third or face their wrath. Speaking on Asempa FM, Emmanuel Atefuah Danso opined that nothing well is going on with this government. The Tax and tariff increment is too much. Our education system is not good as well as our health system, everything is in a mess. Nothing seems to be working. People are disbursing government funds but nothing concrete has been done.
