Mahama Should Seek Private Counsel From Rawlings

A Political Science lecture at the University of Ghana, Dr. Alidu Seidu has advised President John Mahama to seek counsel with National Democratic Congress (NDC) founder, Jerry John Rawlings in private so he would grant him the peace of mind to govern. His advice comes on the back of this weekends comments by Dr. Rawlings where he describes some persons in government crookish monsters. According to Dr. Seidu, President Mahama ought to ask the former President for the names of the so called corrupt officials in government in order to bring them to book. I think it will be better for the Mahama administration to dialogue privately with the former President to furnish the administration with the names of people or institutions that surrounds the presidency and that are deemed to be corrupt. On that basis, the presidency can initiate an investigation. He noted that taking such a step is better than allowing the former President to make open damning declarations. Dr. Seidu referred to the late President Evans Mills who experienced such open criticism from Rawlings and added that it was a huge burden on the Mills administration. So if we see the repeat of what happened under President Millsthat is going to add to the toll of challenges and problems that the Mahama administration is currently facing
