Pratt: NDC Can Start Kissing Goodbye To Power, If.....

The Mahama-led NDC administration has been told boldly in the face that it risks facing the likely prospect of losing power in the 2016 general elections if it fails to fix the current ailing economy. If by the end of December this year, there is no indication of radical changes in the government, team, policy, direction and so, the NDC government can start kissing goodbye to power. There is not enough time, by the end of December said Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt. Speaking to the issue of the State of the Economy: levels of loan acquired by the state, repeated complaints from the public about how despondent they have become, increasing level of unemployment rate, increased in utility tariffs amongst others, Kwesi Pratt opined that government as a matter of urgency must find solutions to some of these teething problems or accept the fact that they have lost the 2016 general elections. President John Dramani Mahama has admitted that the country is facing crisis and has asked Ghanaians to exercise patience since those difficulties are temporary. But the Senior Journalist notes that though it is "good the President has admitted the economy is in crisis and that something is wrong", the earlier he and his administration does something about it the better.
