The Ashanti Regional branch of the Free Education Now Prayer Group (FENPG) has taken delivery of two brand new computers. The computers were donated by former Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama in Kumasi, Cecilia Abena Dapaah. The former MP would also present new computers to FENPG officials in the other nine regions of the country. The FENPG is mainly made up of underprivileged students that failed to gain admission into Senior High School (SHS) due to the lack of financial support. The group was formed about three years ago to pray relentlessly for Nana Akufo-Addo to become president to implement his free SHS policy. Though Nana Akufo-Addo could not win the 2012 polls, FENPG is soliciting support from benevolent individuals to support brilliant but needy students. Ms Dapaah said the computers would help the executives of FENPG in their daily operations across the country. According to her, the computers would be used by FENPG to gather data on students that need help to gain admission into secondary schools. Ms Dapaah said she would continue helping the FENPG, which would in turn assist several students to achieve their goals. Henry Osei Kwabena aka �Agya Osei� received the computers on behalf of Dr. Amoako Tuffuor, Chief Patron of FENPG. Top executives of FENPG in Kumasi, including Monica Afriyie, popularly called, �Mama China� were present at the presentation ceremony. Agya Osei commended the former MP for her timely support, urging others to emulate her shining example. Andy Owusu, National Coordinator, FENPG, said his group would solicit support from well-meaning individuals and organizations to help needy students. He disclosed that FENPG intends to help about 100 brilliant but needy students to gain admission into secondary schools, this year.
