80% of 2008 Promises Was Achieved - Murtala

A Deputy Minister of Information and Media Relations, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, has stated that 80 percent of the promises made to Ghanaians by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2008 was achieved at the end of the partys first tenure in 2012. He, therefore, added that he has no doubts whatsoever that the NDC will meet most of its 2012 electioneering period promises by the end of 2016 and the people of this country will renew the mandate of his Excellency President John Dramani Mahama. Muntala Mohammed was speaking on TV3s News @10 on Thursday. I think we are on track, he stated, citing that government has already earmarked lands for the first 50 community day school to begin. He told TV3s Kenneth Osei Ampofo that governments promises of Free School Uniforms, expansion of the School Feeding Programme and Rural Electrification, among others, were fulfilled by 2012. He, however, admitted that government is facing challenges; hence the Fitch Rating of B for Ghana comes as no surprise. But this government will at the end of the day come out victorious.
