The National Democratic Congress (NDC) ward executives in the Lower West Akyem Constituency of the Eastern Region are threatening to embark on demonstrations over what they describe as neglect by President Mahamas administration and the national party executives of the NDC after the 2102 general elections. According to them, the executives made them some promises during the campaign season and they have not fulfilled any of them yet. The Beposo Community Center B ward chairman, Samuel Abeka Annor in an interview with Citi News said although they told us that when NDC lost, we being the polling agents will be held responsible because we did not perform well enough. now that we have won the elections, they have neglected us." According to him, their duty which was to educate electorates on the reasons why the NDC should be maintained was done properly, that is why the party is currently in power. After we won the elections, we the polling agents have been neglected and they are fighting on the job. If we hadn't done our work well, the NDC party will not have won and they would not have gotten the opportunity that they are enjoying now he said angrily. He also revealed that, they might embark on a demonstration to protest against the way they have been treated.
