Ghana�s Fashion Industry Will Thrive With Support - Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings

Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings says Ghana�s fashion industry will thrive in the the right environment. The Former First Lady made these remarks on Saturday in an interview with Citi News at this year�s Expressions of Accra. According to Mrs. Rawlings fashion designers in the country should continue to explore their imaginative abilities to help sustain the industry. �I think the Ghanaian fashion industry has a future � and I think the few that we have seen today have great potential and I edge them on,� she said. The event dubbed �Creative Explosion� highlighted explosive creativity, originality, and imagination in the fashion world. Guests were thrilled to beautiful designs from carefully selected designers which include AfroMod Trends, Elikem Kumordzie the Tailor, Horseman Shoes and a guest designer from Zimbabwe, Pokello Nare. The night was also fused with drama, and poetry, live band music from K.K Fosu as well as rib cracking comedy from Nigeria funny man Bash. Meanwhile some of the guests who spoke to Citi News after the show said the impressions created at the event will last a lifetime. �It�s been good and exciting and it is good to have so many young people doing great things. I think when you mix fashion, music and comedy it is a great mix. The designs were on point and everybody did well� one of the guests said.
