The disrespect shown to and vituperative attack on Nadowli-Kaleo MP, Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin by some government appointees, does not come as a surprise to the Chairman of the pro-pressure political group, the Young Patriots. Richard Nyamah believes the conduct of Stan Dogbe has been the character of members of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC) cum National Democratic Congress (NDC) under the aegis of Jerry John Rawlings. Stan Dogbe, a Presidential Staffer severely chastised a Senior member of government and former Majority Leader of in Parliament, Hon Alban Bagbin for criticizing President Mahama�s style of leadership and his commitment to fight corruption in the country. In his (Stan�s) response to Bagbin�s claims of not gaining access to the President, he wrote on a social media platform that the NDC bigwig�s quest to portray himself as more concerned about fighting corruption than the President, smacked of double standards, since he (Bagbin), virtually did nothing to tackle issues of corruption at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital while he was the Minister of Health. It is in this regard that the aspiring NPP National Youth Organizer, Richard Nyamah, posited on Okay Fm that he finds the behavior of Stan Dogbe not surprising because the Ghanaian culture of respect for elders changed during the military regime of former President Rawlings in 1979 and 1981. �Rawlings changed everything which has regard for elders and authority�.that was why a Corporal could command a General to march in a parade. From that moment we grew to disrespect our elders and authority��this is their culture and it is in their blood and no matter what, they will not change,� he opined. According to him, from the PNDC/NDC era till date, the current crop of NDC activists places no value on experience people, adding some are appointed to ministerial positions after just graduating from school with no working experience. �Governance under the NDC has always been that of try and error�it is this same disregard for elders that gave Stan Dogbe the audacity to refer to Hon. Alban Bagbin who is more experienced in government and leadership as a �big liar� and exhibiting �double standards�, Richard Nyamah stressed.
