Vickyleaks: Are Certain People Exercising Executive Authority In Government Other Than Mahama?

Former National Youth Organizer of the Convention People's Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr., has called on the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) to delve deep into the revelations by the former Deputy Communications Minister, Victoria Hammah. Kabila, as he is widely known as, wants the investigative body to unearth the truth in the issues broached by Ms Victoria Hammah during her interaction with a female interlocutor regarding the activities of some government officials and their prospects in politics. The former Deputy Communications Minister, yesterday, was heard on a leaked tape recording played on Neat FM in Accra, making explicit revelations about the activities of some Ministers in government. On the 32-minute leaked tape, a voice purported to be that of Ms Hammah was heard interacting with a female friend in which she stated that the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Welfare, Nana Oye Lithur, conferred with the Supreme Court Justices during their hearing of the NPP Presidential election petition. Ms Hammah further opined that her influence might have informed the verdict on the case. Also, she vilified the Deputy Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Rachel Appoh, for bickering with her boss (Nana Oye Lithur). Describing her (Rachel Appoh) as "unwise, ugly and deadly", Ms Hammah told her friend that she had advised the Deputy Minister to be guided in her actions at the Ministry. I sat her (Rachel) in front of Omane (Boamah, Minister of Communications) defending Rachel for one hour. She had a problem and then, everybody had their opinion about her. I made her look good in front of Omane and the other Ministers. Then, in front of the first lady (Lordina), you want to diss me. Let her sit there. She thinks politics is a joke. "You want to fight Oye Lithur. Tony Lithur controls three Ministries. That Rachel is not wiseTony Lithur has been the friend of the Rawlingses, been a friend to the President John, now and his wife. I learnt even before even the verdict, Nana (Oye Lithur) was with the Justices and all that. You dont know the role she has played for us to win the court case. Then, you want to use your lack of intelligence to push her out... "Tony Lithur and John Mahama, theyve got an alliance. They are allies, you understand. They defend each other. Rachel, who do you have?" she disclosed. She revealed her long-awaiting dream in politics, saying "...I understand politics very well. If I haven't made a million dollars I wouldn't go and attack people. If you have money, then you can control people. Commenting further on Peace FM, Kabila bemoaned the role of First Lady, Lordina Mahama, in government. He feared that danger looms on the nation if the First Lady is allowed to play a crucial role in the running of the government, and asked government sets up a 'full-scale bi-partisan Parliamentary investigation' to investigate the revelations concerning the first ladys position in the Mahama government. If his wife, Mrs Lordina Mahama, has power equivalent to the power vested in the President in accordance with our constitution and the oath he took, then we are in danger. We are in danger because it means the Presidents wife can do things that Ghanaians have not obliged her to doIf we have certain people who exercise executive authority other than His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, then we are in danger. Im calling for a full scale bi-partisan Parliamentary investigation into this matter, Kabila said.
