The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kofi Adams has described the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) calls for investigations into allegations made by Victoria Hammah on the election petition case as �part of the noise making that was experienced since the verdict came out.� According to Mr Adams, the requests that the party members were making is not in the party�s interest but as a result of their insatiable desire to achieve their personal political agenda. �It is part of the noise making that we have experienced since the verdict came out. We have heard all kinds of comments from various persons especially those who are seeking election into various offices. The first one was Ayikoi Otoo when he spoke on this subject; little did we know that his desire was to put himself in a position to be able to contest for chairmanship. Now we have the embattled General Secretary, who has other stewards seeking to knock him off his position, now trying to hang onto straw that cannot really save him. I believe that if he has anything, he should go and account to his people, how they messed up their campaigns and lost the elections and stop wasting the time of Ghanaians.� The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) officially petitioned the Chief Justice to investigate allegations made by Victoria Hammah that Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur met with some Justices of the Supreme Court before the final ruling on the election petition . The NPP in a statement expressed shock over the statements made by the dismissed Deputy Communications Minister, Victoria Hammah regarding the outcome of the case. Victoria Hammah alleged on a leaked tape that Nana Oye Lithur met with justices of the Supreme Court before the judgement on the election petition. The party filed the petition at the Supreme Court�s registry asking the Chief Justice to act expeditiously. Commenting on Victoria Hammah�s issue, he remarked that the fact that Victoria Hammah was relieved of her post did not necessarily mean that there was an iota of truth in her comments. "The fact that we relieved her of her post doesn't necessarily mean what she said was true. The fact that she said things that are not true is enough to relieve her of her position. If she said things that were true, she would be kept in her position but she said things that were not true. She said things that were not true. She imported market place gossip into her mouth and presented it as someone who should have known what to say and what not to say." Meanwhile the General Secretary of the NPP, Mr Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie also known as Sir John has indicated that the NPP would still pursue the matter in court since Ms. Hammah has not come out to deny the allegations. �Victoria Hammah has not come out to deny the assertion she made on the tape. The fact that Nana Oye Lithur is denying doesn�t mean the thing did not happen and so the inquiry will deal with all these doubts�
