Standard Chartered Ghana makes two board appointments

Standard Chartered Ghana Limited, has announced the appointment of Dr Emmanuel Oteng Kumah, as an Independent non-Executive Director of the Bank with effect from 31st October. A statement from the bank said, Dr Kumah has served in various high profile roles at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for the past 25 years, including IMF Resident Representative in Djibouti and Deputy Division Chief at the Balance of Payments and External Debt Division. He retired from the IMF in 2012 as a Division Chief of the Resource Management Division in Washington D.C. Now serving as a Consultant to the IMF, Dr Kumah brings a wealth of experience in the economic policy and management space to the Bank�s Board. In a related development, the Bank has also appointed its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Dayo Omolokun to the Board. His appointment, which takes effect from November 15, comes several months after he assumed his new role in Ghana. Dayo has served in various capacities at different locations across Africa and Europe within the Standard Chartered Group. He joined the Bank 11 years ago and was the CFO of Standard Chartered, Botswana until his recent appointment to the Ghana Management Team. Commenting on the two appointments, Kweku Bedu Addo, Chief Executive of Standard Chartered Ghana said: �We are delighted to have Dr Kumah and Mr Omolokun join our team in Ghana. �They are great additions to the Board and our corporate governance process will greatly benefit from their experience and knowledge across several markets.�
