Who Is The Worst President?

Two years before the last election in United States of America, [U.S.A], and a giant campaign billboard was erected at Grand Junction, Colorado that had a message which might sound silly but called on the electorates to judge who was the worst president of America. The billboard which was sponsored by some business companies who preferred to remain anonymous erected the campaign billboard that had the photograph of former president of U.S.A, Jimmy Carter in a challenging pose stated, and THEY CAN NOT CALL ME THE WORST PRESIDENT ANYMORE. This billboard was part of the anti-Obama campaign that spread throughout America at that time with the explanation, it looks like we have another winning billboard making fun of the current administration. This time they an ad to point out how people have compared Obama to Carters horrible presidency was the explanation given to the erection of this anti-Obama campaign billboard? Back home in Ghana, it is so surprising to note that Mr. John Dramani Mahamah, when in opposition described NPP government as a worst government ever in the country's history. At that time in opposition, he called for immediate election to replace ex-president Kufuor's government that was barely eight months in office with the reason that Ghanaians were suffering too much. Mr. John Dramani Mahamah, kept a blind eye from seeing that rot that took place under former president John Rawlings whose nineteen years in power was described as the worst president ever in Ghana. So it is not surprising to note that Jerry John Rawlings is now going round the country in a bid to win support for president Mahamah whose government is failing the people seriously. During the rule of former president Rawlings, so many lives were lost and uptil now lives that were lost have not been accounted for by anybody. The murdered judges, who has been held for that wild killings? The private entrepreneurship which was the engine of growth of Ghanaian economy at the time was collapsed by PNDC government led by Jerry Rawlings, but today he is asking Ghanaians to show confidence in already failed government of President John Dramani Mahamah? Even president John Agyekum Kufuor, who took the reigns of tattered government from a soldier who metamorphosed into a democratic politician and work hard to turn things around to work for the good of Ghanaians, was described as a worst president. From the look of things, one could be tempted to say that even late president Professor John Evans Atta Mills government that was said to be bad is even better than this present government. Oh yes what at all has president Mahamah since elected president of Ghana has been able to put in place that is working well for Ghanaians I want to be lectured now? Absolutely, nothing seems working good for him as the president and that of the electorates who pay taxes to take care of the president as someone will say, otare a na awae, odese ho a na afiato to wit, he can not fix any problem facing Ghanaians. The sages used to say something which I have grown to realize that is exactly true. They said when you throw a ball to the wall it comes back to you. It is a great proverb that works to perfection. When you do evil to a fellow there is a hundred percent possibility that the same evil will take a reversal effect on you that meted out that evil treatment on your fellow. Nana Akomeah did an excellent job by reminding Ghanaians of how the incumbent when in opposition lead his party NDC to run down an NPP government under President John Agyekum Kufuor. Today, Ghanaians are demanding for probity and accountability from the same person who opened their eyes to what was purported to be ills in the former president's administration now that he is the president and the same ills are being experienced everywhere and he says Ghanaians are complaining too much? Under the described worst presidents Kufuor and late Mills, Ghanaians were free to express their minds on how the government should manage the state purse at peoples assembly meetings and through demonstrations. Now you risk getting your neck broken by security men if you dare go on demonstration without master says okay go on demonstration but do not shout and that is under a good president? The horrible economic, social and political situation under the NDC government is so much to the point that not a single day passes by that the media won't expose corruption deals by a minister, civil servant, security personnel or party faithful. The energy crisis, high cost of living, expensive health care, high cost of education, housing, transportation and utility deliveries, the rising rates of unemployment, crime, ritual murders, drug trafficking and selective justice as well as the high incidence of official corruption and discrimination has made a whole lot of Ghanaians to plead with the president to step down. What has become common in recent times is the undemocratic nature of the security personnel who following instructions from above breaks every well meaning demonstration that are going to be staged without the police granting permit. Is that democracy? The NPP government under President John Agyekum Kufuor was described as worst government or worst president by the NDC hawks. But when you compare the present government to that of NPP government and even that of Atta Mills' government who is worst president? Yes, John Mahamah can not call Agyekum Kufuor a worst president anymore. But you can better judge who worst president is. End.
