National Ambulance And Fire Service Receives Support

The Chief Executive Officer of First Klass Hospital at Konongo in the Asante Akyem North Municipality has donated items running into thousands of Ghana cedis to two essential service providers in the Municipality namely; National Ambulance Service and Ghana National Fire service (GNFS). Making the presentation, Dr. Steve Ogborjo lauded the efforts of these two state institutions for their inestimable contribution to make Ghana a country worth living in and called on every Tom, Dick and Harry, to rally behind these service providers by resourcing them to respond promptly to emergencies. He said, government alone cannot adequately resource them and that there is the need for corporate entities and well-meaning Ghanaians to complement the efforts of the central government to insulate them from logistical challenge. Dr Steve Ogbordjor reiterated First Klass Hospitals commitment to ensure that the ordinary persons live is free of anxiety from fire and disaster, hence the desire to assist the service. Receiving the items on behalf of GNFS, Mr Emmanuel Richard Mensah, Divisional officer of Fire Service, expressed his profound admiration to First Klass Hospital. He noted that for some time now, the service has been grappling with printing and typing of reports due to lack of computer and printer at their disposal and sometimes they are compelled to type and print confidential reports outside. Items donated to the GNFS include Airconditioners, computers, printer, Chairs etc. Whilst the National Ambulance service received office Chairs and desks, computers and a printer.
