Back off! Iam Too Young - Actor Tells Lady Admirers

With his reasonably good looks and swag, young actor, Emmanuel Darko aka Cartoon, has attracted many admirers, especially young women, who regularly follow his exploits in the Afia Schwarzenegger television series. According to the 14- year- old student of the St. Johns Grammar School in Accra, even ladies in their early 20s are constantly pestering him to date them. I dont know what they want from me. Im just a young boy lucky to be enjoying a little fame from the Afia Schwarzenegger show. I want the ladies to know that Im too young to date them, Cartoon told Showbiz in an interview last week. Asked how he manages to parry the unsolicited attention he gets from women, Cartoon said there had been times when he had to be plain nasty to ward off female admirers. I have had to be unpleasant to some of the ladies who would not give me breathing space. I had to do that to free myself from the harassment, Cartoon revealed. The young actor said he often receives romantic messages on his phone and Facebook wall from lady admirers. He prefers to finish his education before getting into a relationship. My focus at the moment is to further my education and get a good job before paying attention to the ladies, Cartoon noted. Cartoon got onto the Afia Schwarzenegger series when Delay, the programmes creator and producer saw him perform at a Sarkodie concert and decided to feature him on her series. He revealed that he was initially nervous about acting but has since adjusted into the role. Apart from appearing in the series, he has also appeared in a movie called Fakye. Away from love matters, Cartoon seems not to be happy about the fact that people see him as a too known person. According to him, he had received several comments about him being too known. That makes me sad because whatever is shown on TV is only make believe. Cartoon, who placed fourth in the second Talented Kidz contest on TV3, has worked with musicians like Kobbi Rana and Guru. He is currently in studio working on some singles under his own name. I want to take music seriously because I love everything about music. Education is my priority but Im keen to do music alongside, he told Showbiz.
