Ibrahim Mahama To Pay Debt By December 15

Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, has disclosed that Engineers and Planners (E&P) a company owned by Ibrahim Mahama, President John Dramani Mahamas younger brother is ready to pay their debt owed Merchant Bank. Documents obtained a few days ago, suggested that counsel for Engineers and Planners, Tony Lithur, the man who served as counsel for President John Dramani Mahama in the Election Petition, petitioned the President to intervene on the companys behalf, after Merchant Bank had attempted to recover the $38 million debt owed by E&P. President Mahama is therefore said to have personally intervened to stop Merchant Bank from retrieving the $38 million owed the bank by E&P. However, Minister of Information and Media Relations, Mahama Ayariga has stated that the President never prevented Merchant Bank from retrieving a loan it gave to E&P. Speaking to the issue, Kweku Baako revealed that E&P will be paying their debt by December 15. Everything I have seen shows that on each occasion they have been in negotiations and efforts to make sure they pay that debt. I know that by December 15, they would have been able to fulfill that obligation. They will extricate themselves from Merchant Bank indebtedness. The document I have seen is enough to convince me. He therefore advised E&P to concentrate on paying their debts; adding, they should not worry about the noise out therethe moment they do this (pay), that will be the end of their part of the story.
