I Didnt Sign An Agreement With Nana Addo That Ill Permanently Remain Under His Shadow

Everyone has personal ambitions no matter the establishment one finds himself and political parties are no exception. It is in this vein Dr. Konadu Apraku cannot believe he is being labeled a backstabber making clear his desire to run for President on the ticket of the biggest opposition party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP). According to many, the former NPP Campaign Manager for Election 2008 is comparable to Brutus and Judas within the party; whose aim is to run down his former boss (Nana Akufo Addo) just to propel his selfish presidential ambitions. But in a sharp rebuttal on NEAT FM, Dr. Apraku, who has been a close associate of the 2008 and 2012 Presidential candidate of the NPP stated that his political carrier is not tied to that of anyone and pursuing personal goals in politics does not amount to betrayal. before working for Akufo-Addo as his Campaign Manager, I did not sign any agreement that Ill forfeit an ambition that I have nurtured since 1992 through to 2007, even though I did not win. Neither did he also tell me that if you take up the post as my Campaign Manager, you would permanently be my Campaign Manager and that if you contest against me again, then you are traitor. I have never heard this before. I had my ambition before I met Akuffo-Addo, he argued. He further opined that God, the creator of Heaven and Earth has different plans for everyone and for the fact he, Dr. Apraku, having decided to run for the Presidential primaries against his former boss, does not make him a traitor.
