If Ghanaians Vote For Mahama in 2016Then Indeed They Have Short Memories

The worst memories almost always stick with us, while the good ones seem to slip through our minds. In the end, all that really matters is not what you did, but what its effects are today. However, according to a communications team member of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), he will be surprised if Ghanaians, upon all the hardships the Mahama led government has heaped on the nation, votes for the NDC to win the 2016 presidential polls. Charles Owusus comment follows on the heels of remarks by President John Dramani Mahama at the weekend that Ghanaians seem to easily forget about the achievements of his administration and rather focused on the negatives that have made the most headlines this year. Speaking at the inauguration of the Revival Restoration Centre of the Assemblies of God Church in Accra, President Mahama said government had managed to deal with several problems including the energy crises, the several labour unrests and economic challenges. The country has had a challenging yearthat is true. We had market fires and Im sure most of you have forgotten about the market fire. We had the energy crises, which was popularly called Dumsor and I was appropriately labeled the apostle of Dumsor, Dumsor and Ghanaians in their usual humour crafted a very interesting greeting that said Yema mo dumsor oo, then another responds Yaa Mahama, He said Adding that I told Ghanaians that I am working on the energy crises and when it is solved, they should remember to use the greeting Yama mo Kania oo (lights), with a response Yaa Mahama. However, very often in Ghana we have a very short memory. The energy crisis is solved and we dont remember the darkness we were in. But speaking on Adom FM, Charles Owusu opined that, Upon all the hardships President Mahama has brought upon us (Ghanaians), if we vote for him again, then indeed we have short memories. I will be really shocked if we vote the NDC and Mahama again. Corruption under his leadership is overwhelming.
