Over the weekend, President Mahama made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians to do away with the cynicism and instead have faith in the ability of the country to achieve massive socio-economic development. But his approach to tackling socio-economic challenges makes it hard for one to laud him for the relentless efforts he sometimes put in. A member of the Progressive People�s Party (PPP), Mr. Charles Owusu made this remark in an interview with Peacefmonline.com. According to him, the tepid posture of the president in handling issues makes it look like he was interested in taking Ghanaians for a ride. He explained that after failing to make �corrupt ministers� face the music, does President Mahama expect Ghanaians to laud him for the menial things he does for the nation? �His attitude is a parent who wants the whole world to laud him and get to know about the smallest things he does for his own ward. He has done nothing extraordinary under his watch but wants to receive the loudest praise you can think about. There is no one praying for the downfall of the president; but the fact is that he is under performing�, Mr. Owusu added.
