The Deputy Communications Director of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Ernest Owusu Bempah has downplayed President John Mahama's appraisal of the performance of his Ministers of State, describing the intended exercise as probably, the �joke of the century�. The Policy Unit at the Presidency, on Tuesday, began evaluating the performance of Ministers during the course of the year. The review of their performance is being done in view of the policies and programmes outlined by the Ministers. The Ministers are said to have signed performance agreements with President John Mahama by presenting their targets with approval of President John Dramani Mahama and his Vice, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur. But contributing to a panel discussion programme on Oman FM, Owusu Bempah found it comical on the part of the current administration to assess its Ministers vis-�-vis the failures of the government. He explained that the President has failed in all sectors of the economy to combat corruption and other challenges confronting the Ghanaian citizenry. He also bemoaned the President's inability to delineate clear initiatives and formulate policies that would boost the progress of the economy. �We are assessing Ministers based on their corruptible practice?�It�s bogus and absolutely beyond the bounds of human reasoning. For anybody at all to agree with him; it�s a joke of the century for the President to look into the eyes of Ghanaians and tell us I am assessing Ministers,� Owusu Bempah said.
