Joseph Yobo is set to switch to another Turkish club Antalyaspor from Fenerbahce so as to stand a chance of featuring at Brazil 2014. Nigeria skipper Yobo has been overlooked by the Super Eagles since the 2013 AFCON triumph in South Africa in February despite assurances by coach Stephen Keshi that the experienced defender remains part of his team. His case has been worsened by the fact that he has been consigned to the bench at Fenerbache this season and needs regular football action to actualise his ambition of playing for Nigeria at his third World Cup in Brazil next year. Antalyaspor president Gultekin Gencer is looking at having Nigeria skipper Yobo and two other players from Fenerbahce during the January transfer window. And the former Standard Liege of Belgium defender is ready to make the switch, according to fanatik.com The Antalayaspor president said an offer has been made for Yobo. Should the deal sail through, the former Everton defence ace will join his compatriot and former Nigeria Olympic team skipper Promise Isaac at the club based in the Turkish holiday resort.
