Jupitar Impresses At "Loud in GH" With Live Band

At the highly anticipated annual LoudinGH concert hosted by YFM on Christmas night, Jupitar "Di General" captivated the hearts of Accra's dancehall fans with a shocking live band performance! For the first time ever, this year's LoudinGH concert, dubbed the "Dancehall Xplosion", was specially devoted to Ghana's Reggae and Dancehall artistes. Headlining the event were Stonebouy, Shatta Wale, Kaakie, Jupitar and Samini, and thousands crowded the stadium to come and witness the show sponsored by Guinness. Many upcoming dancehall and reggae acts came on stage to share their presence as well but no performer shocked the crowd like Jupitar! He opened the show with a classic orchestral soundtrack as he delivered the "Lord's Prayer" before the live band started their intro. Up until that point, no artist who had been on stage had sang live. As usual, most of them shouted over their recorded tracks or mimed. Despite having the microphone mysteriously malfunction seconds before he went on stage, within 5 minutes Jupitar had the whole crowd waving their phones in the air. The stadium turned into a disco ball. "There is something about live music that humans just can't resist" says Jupitar when he is asked why he made that choice. "I am a real musician and I don't believe in pretending to sing on stage. I want to share the true talent that God has given me!" As he left the show and blessed everyone for the evening, dozens of fans chased after him in tears thanking him for his performance and confessing their new found love for his talent. The spokesperson for #TeamJupitar has confirmed that this was been his last performance for 2013 as he is now preparing towards his Album release in the early part of next year. Jupitar has also vowed to always play live band whenever the option is available and encourages spectators to expect nothing but the best. Let's see what 2014 has in store for this talented young man!
