Prestea Huni/Valley MP calls for unity

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Prestea Huni/Valley, Mr Francis Adu-Blay Koffie has appealed to assembly members and stakeholders to assist in the total development of the district. He said without total unity, no development would take place in the newly created district. Mr Koffie said this on Wednesday at his residence in Prestea in the Western Region, when he organized an end-of-year get together for assembly members in the district. The MP emphasized that all traditional rulers as well as prominent persons in the district needed to help in fostering love and unity to every local community in the constituency. Mr Koffie promised that he would continue to collaborate with the assembly and work harder this year in his constituency. He expressed the hope that the year 2014 would be a crowning moment for them to achieve their vision and cautioned the public especially politicians to avoid insults and vindictiveness in the New Year. He, however, urged politicians to rather concentrate on promoting peace and development, instead of engaging in unproven condemnation of opposing personalities and ideas.
