The nominations for the 2014 Bafta Film Awards were unveiled this morning but while Brit talent like Dame Judi Dench and Chiwetel Ejiofor have been recognised, one of 2013's breakout stars, Idris Elba, has missed out on a nod for his lead role in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. Idris plays the late South African leader Nelson Mandela in the biopic but while his performance has won rave reviews and landed him a Golden Globe nomination, the Luther star has missed out at the awards held on his home turf.
