Okwahu United Demands Fatau Dauda's Onward Transfer Fee

Lower Division side Okwahu United have written to the Ghana Football Association demanding an inquest into the transfer of Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda from Ashgold to PSL side Orlando Pirates. The 'Soccer Mountaineers' also want the Football Association to assist them in retrieving from Ashgold, the onward transfer fee of the Black Stars number 1 who started his career with the Okwawu-based side. Charles Boahen, board member of Okwahu United told Kumasi-based Angel FM; "as has been the norm and as stated by FIFA in its statutes, we at Okwahu United have the right to look into the details of the transfer of our former goalkeeper from Ashgold to Orlando Pirates". "We also have the right to a percentage of the amount involved in the deal which is the onward transfer fee of the player". "As at now we haven't heard or read any letter from Ashgold since the player was transferred from Ashgold to South Africa and we believe there must be an inquest into that because we also need money to run our club. The 29-year goalkeeper moved to South Africa for an undisclosed fee though he was rumored to have cost the Johannesburg-based club a fortune as he is laden with experience.
