New Aerodrome For Ho, Cape Coast, Bolga, K�dua� In The Offing

President John Dramani Mahama has promised residents of Ashanti Region that his government will not renege on its promise to rehabilitate the Kumasi Airport. Speaking to media practitioners at the Flagstaff House on Tuesday, President Mahama reiterated his commitment to upgrade the Kumasi Airport into an International one to provide much better services to its passengers. He noted with seriousness that this year will see the Airport undergo major transformation since it is the 'second busiest airport' in the nation. President Mahama also capitalized on his government's readiness to construct airdromes at Cape Coast in the Central Region and Ho in the Volta Region. He further disclosed that other air ports will be established in some regions in the country for domestic aviation purposes. �We�re going to upgrade Kumasi Airport because it�s the second busiest airport in this country. And it�s our intention to upgrade to international status and so, it�s one of the airports we�re going to upgrade. We�re also doing the Regional airports. �We�re going to rehabilitate Kumasi Airport. We�re going to rehabilitate Sunyani Airport. We are going to build new aerodrome in Cape Coast, in Ho, in Koforidua and in Bolga so that we can have domestic aviation serving all our Regional capitals," President Mahama stated during his meeting with the journalists.
