Policy Analyst of the People's National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed has branded the late Ghana-born BBC ace journalist, Komla Afeke Dumor, as an "Ambassador of Ghana." Speaking on Oman FM, Atik Mohammed urged the nation to take a cue from the lifestyle and exploits of the late Komla Dumor. He noted that he (Komla Dumor) showed commitment to his career and worked relentlessly to leave a good indelible impression on the media landscape, both in Africa and the world at large. The late media Icon, he stated, was an inspiration to him and further believed was a source of encouragement to a huge section of media practitioners and the entire nation. The 'selfless' BBC 'Focus in Africa' news anchor died in his home in London on Saturday, January 18, 2014. He reportedly suffered a heart attack and passed on to eternal glory. The father of three children was known as one of Africa's topnotch media practitioners whose hard work earned him a unique opportunity at the British Broadcasting Corporation in 2006. Until news broke regarding Komla's death which has since shocked the country, he was appointed the face of BBC and was gearing up to anchor the 2014 Brazil World Cup.
