Dr Ephraim Avea Nsoh, Upper West Regional Minister has stated that the presence of the World Bank in the region has brought stability in the region�s administration. �A lot is being done and the people are eager to see quick results, but your presence and interactions with the people on various areas of interventions is beginning to make them believe in what we are doing as a government to bring development to them,� he noted. Dr Nsoh disclosed this when Mr Yosupha Crookes, World Bank Country Director led a team of officials to pay a courtesy call on the Minister at his office in Wa. The World Bank team is back in the region for the second time after their first visit last year to continue their support agenda for the region�s strategic development plan. Dr Nsoh said government was poised to make a positive development impact in the lives of the people in the region within the next two years. He said the World Bank�s support towards the realization of that vision so far was beyond expectation. He therefore expressed his heart-felt gratitude to the World Bank Country Director and his team for their effort, adding that government would do everything expected of them to ensure that both parties achieved their set targets and objectives. Mr Crookes said the focus of the World Bank group was to improve upon key social interventions such as rural water and sanitation. �Under the water project, you are going to have many boreholes than you can imagine,� he assured the Minister. The World Bank Country Director also hinted that they would support youth capacity building to enable the youth to venture into various economic activities.
