Princesses To Know Opponents On March 1

Ghana�s Black Princesses will know their opponents at the summer FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada after the global body set Saturday, March 1 as date for the draw in Montreal. The Princesses are making a third successive appearance at the competition that will see Nigeria joining Ghana as Africa�s representatives. The draw is expected to house the 16 qualified teams in a group of four each for the biannual tournament which Ghana exited at the group stage without scoring a single goal at the last edition in Japan 2012. Information pieced together by GNA sports indicates that 13 teams have already booked their places in the competition with the remaining three slots reserved for two teams from South America and one from Oceania. Asia�s slots have already been filled by China, Korea Republic and South Korea. Costa Rica, Mexico and the United States of America are the representatives of North and Central America. Europe�s roll call will be answered by England, Finland, France and Germany for the tourney that spans August 5-24 in the cities of Edmonton, Moncton, Montreal and Toronto. Ghana qualified after beating Equatorial Guinea 4-3 on penalties after both legs ended one all.
