Adenta Residents Descend On Ashie Moore

Residents of Adenta in the Greater Accra Region have launched a withering attack on the Member of Parliament for the area, Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, for his inability to address issues affecting the area with tact, reason and maturity. According to some concerned residents of the Adenta constituency, the honorable Minster does not appear to understand his role as a leader in the municipality, and that his actions over the past year lends credence to the description that Ashie Moore is a confusionist who places his ego above development in Adenta. The residents in a press statement recalled some promises their MP had not been able to fulfill, but rather gone viral, hitch-hiking and deceiving the public with projects he had not been able to initiate. We dare Mr. Moore to come out with the details of these claims if they are truewe are surprised Hon. Nii Ashie Moore, did not add to his list of achievements the installation of CCTV cameras at the Adentan Shopping Malllets he forgot, another omission to his achievements that he pledged to an amount of GH2000 at a book launch and asked that money be deducted from his MPs Common Fund, Alhaji Asumah Zaid Issa, noted in a press statement Monday, January 27, this year. They MP, according to the group has been boasting and spreading falsehood for having delivered about 20 buses to the Ghana Private Road and Transport Union, renovated some schools as well as donating street lights to some communities within the constituency. Alhaji Asumah Zaid Issa further charged the Member of Parliament to come clearer on those claims; especially in the case where he allegedly boasted of having registered about 2000 kids under 17 years, for the National Health Insurance scheme. Recounting series of allegations among others, the residents alleged that Ashie Moore was once alleged to have falsified a particular land document close to his house and rather caused the arrest of the man who rightfully owned the land. They are therefore, appealing to the Speaker of Parliament to as a matter of urgency; remove the MP from all sensitive parliamentary committees since he had been using his authority and privileges to abuse his constituents. The press release signed by the chairman of the group, Alhaji Asumah Zaid Issah, and their Spokesperson Mr. Albert Brampah, observed that Ashie Moore has been boasting of numerous ghost achievements, although he had publicly denied ever receiving monies into the coffers of the MPs Common Fund, and questioned his source of funding for those projects.
