NPP Is The Only Party In Bed With Democracy..

As phase one of the largest opposition New Patriotic Partys (NPPs) democratic trials ended at the Constituency and Regional Executives polls last weekend, reports were rife in town of allegations of money changing hands and vote buying. But some insist the polls were the most fairest and cleanest in the history of the party. Incumbent National Youth Organizer of NPP, Emmanuel Atefuah Danso who is also seeking for renewal of mandate has also joined in the praise-singing to pat the backs of the rank and file of the party for successfully electing Regional Executive across the country. Speaking on Okay Fms Ghana Decides program, Emmanuel Atefuah Danso called on the media to hype the democratic credentials of the NPP in the just ended Regional Executive elections so as to urge other political parties in the country to emulate their example in their intraparty polls in the near future. ...we have conducted ourselves very well in the just ended elections in all the 10 regions because there was no record of violence in any region. We deserve commendation for the political maturity and comportment we exhibited throughout the country. We have demonstrated to the world that NPP is enlightened in democracy and we are lovers of democracy; this is the time the media must hype the NPP for the democracy exhibited, he asserted. Emmanuel Atefuah Danso also revealed that as he went to pick his forms at the partys Headquarters, he had the backing of the youth wings in the party. ...the confidence and faith reposed in me to work as a deputy National Youth Organizer and now the incumbent National Youth Organizer is much appreciated by the youth wings of the party; I am still holding on to that to seek for renewal of mandate to work harder for the party...all we want is to see NPP gain political power again in 2016 to rescue Ghanaians from the slavery imposed on them by NDC, he disclosed. However, he maintained that, the National Executive Election in March 1, 2014 will cement the level of democratic maturity of the NPP as was witnessed in the Regional Executive elections last weekend in all the 10 regions.
