Minister for Youth and Sports, Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah has said that government will try to send a few supporters to Brazil 2014 to support the Black Stars at the World Cup since supporters play a very important role in football. He assured fans that government will do its possible best to ensure that a few fans get to Brazil to cheer the Blacks Stars to victory. �Government will try to send few supporters to Brazil,� he stressed. There has been controversy over whether government should sponsor supporters to Brazil or not. Arguments range from costs in transporting soccer fans to the need to have supporters at Ghana�s games. The Black Stars will pitch camp in Marceio and will open their campaign with the United States before taking on Germany and Portugal in Group G.
