Sack Our MCE NDC Activists Charge

Some irate youths of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Asamankese in the Lower West Akim District of the Eastern Region have expressed their displeasure about the deplorable state of infrastructure in their area. They have accused the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area, George Mensah Akpalu, of turning a deaf ear to their plights despite calls on him to change the insensitive manner he runs his office. Our main roads are the poorest, dirtiest and unmotorable in the whole Ghana, they charged. They described the MCE as incompetent and appealed to the President, John Dramani Mahama to kick him out of office with immediate effect or there would be a massive demonstration in the area. They pleaded with the President to bring them a result-oriented person to rescue the constituency. Mr Ziliki noted that the MCE, who has very bad human relations, was exploiting them to his gain. MCE is using our sweat, his position and the name of the party in furthering his education at GIMPA, yet depriving the constituency of good developmental projects, he said. He explained the NDCs youth executives in the constituency had been abandoned for far too long and accused the MCE of being insolent towards them, adding that the MCE insulted them when he boasted that he was better off before becoming the MCE and that he gained his position because of his qualification. George Mensah Akpalu was, however, not available for comments, as all calls placed to his phone were not answered.
