Food is anything we eat to grow healthy; but emerging market trend clearly suggests the fall in value of the Ghana Cedi has terribly affected foodstuff. Today established from survey that as it stands now, most Ghanaians are likely to lose requisite nutrients in balance diet because most cannot afford basic food. �One needs to buy these nutritious commodities from the market or stores, but most people prefer buying them from the markets because of their freshness. But prices of these commodities are a great concern to us because government�s austerity measures are hitting hard on our market,� one attendant told our research team. A clear increase in fuel price and overwhelming taxes on almost every commodity has had rippling effect on market force hence the galloping increase in foodstuff everyday.
