An Aspiring National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party has launched a blistering attack on the General Secretary of the ruling NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketia, labeling him as a person with "no sense of shame and remorse" for Ghanaians.
Michael Kwabena Ampong slammed Johnson Asiedu Nketia, commonly known as General Mosquito, for not refraining from using lies and propaganda to weave his way into the political limelight.
The immediate past Greater Accra Communications Director of the NPP Michael Kwabena Ampong averred that the NDC General Secretary has over the years proven to take delight in "deception, ethnocentrism and propaganda" which to him, makes him (General Mosquito) a great disappointment to the Ghanaian citizenry.
He said, in a press statement, that the NDC, particularly its General Secretary, has done everything possible to run down the NPP and dent the party's image. But to him, their attempts have all backfired and openly exposed the NDC government for its abysmal performance.
"It is very nauseating and pathetic to hear Mr. Nketia claiming that he still maintains the then seventeen flagbearership aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2007 are thieves. His reason being that none of the people he accused had been able to challenge him at court. To many Ghanaians, his reason lacks logic and it is very weak.
"The question most people are asking is that since the NDC assumed the reins of government some five years ago, how many of the erstwhile NPP Government Appointees and officials have they been able to prosecute and convict under the laws of Ghana before any competent court of jurisdiction?"
He called on all appropriate authorities in the country to bring General Mosquito to order.
"General Mosquito must be advised by all stakeholders such as civil society organizations, religious leaders, traditional authorities and indeed the top echelon of the NDC to desist from the old counterproductive political strategy which does not put bread and butter on our tables since the majority of all Ghanaian electorates deserve from politicians a prudent economic management that would enabled them live a meaningful life," he appealed.
