Prayers Planned For Ghana In Mecca

The Federation of Muslim Council (FMC) has announced plans to organize intercession prayers for Ghana at Mecca and Madina, two holy sites in Saudi Arabia. This was contained in a release signed by Alhaji Abdallah S. Williams, National Coordinator of the Federation. �Following receipt and study of the horoscope chart on Ghana for 2011 to 2018, FMC of Ghana has decided to organize special Umra flight for 222 Ghanaian Muslims countrywide, including the 10 regional Imams to be sponsored by FMC for a 10-day Umra and Intercession prayers at Mecca and Madina from April 16-26, 2014 for Allah�s blessings, protection, mercy and neutralization of all ominous disasters, calamities and upheavals,� the release noted. The Federation asked Muslims, who have already planned to perform Umra this year to take advantage of the offer which cost GH�6000, accommodation and transportation-inclusive and be part of this special arrangement. In another development, the FMC has expressed gratitude to the Muslim Umma of Turkey for their support in putting up the national mosque at Kanda, Accra. The structure, the FMC observed, is a manifestation of the rich Islamic architecture. The FMC also prayed for Allah�s blessings for the National Chief Imam for conceptualizing the project and the Ambassador of Turkey to Ghana and his Ghanaian counterpart in Turkey.
