Gonjaland Forum Opens Tomorrow

The first Gonjaland Economic Forum opens in Accra on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. The two-day event is being organised by AKK Risk Management Consulting Limited in collaboration with the Yagbon Foundation and under the auspices of Yagbonwwura Tutumba Boresa, Paramount chief of the Gonja Traditional Area. According to Lepowura, Alhaji MND Jawula, chairman of the organising committee of the forum, who also chairs the Gonjaland Economic Forum, the objective of the forum was to bring together like-minded indigenes of Gonjaland and other development partners to discuss investment opportunities in Gonjaland. Areas to be discussed during the two-day event to be held at the Best Western Premier Hotel, Airport, near the old Ghana Airways, will include agriculture (crops, fishing and animal husbandry), tourism, mining and corporate social responsibility. Among the major speakers are Mr Martin Esson-Benjamin, Chief Executive Officer, Millenium Development Authority, Buipewura Jinapor II, Vice-Presidernt of the Gonja Traditional Council, and Tuluwura Sulemana Bonyansa, paramount chief of Tuluwe Traditional Area . Other speakers are Dr Abu Sakara Foster, 2012 presidential candidate of the CPP; Dr Karim Adam, CEO of AKK Risk Management Consulting Limited and Mr Bakari Sadiq Nyari, Director, Public and Vested Lands Management Division at the Lands Commission.
