The outgoing Western Regional Minister, Mr Ebenezer Kwadwo Teye Addo, has appealed to parents and guardians to invest in their children and wards education so as to break the vicious cycle of poverty. He said they should desist from frivolous expenses and rather provide brighter future for their children. Mr. Addo said this at a sod-cutting ceremony for a Community Senior High School (SHS) at Bamianko in the Nzema East Municipality. The Community SHS was one of the 200 SHS promised in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) manifesto in the 2012 electioneering campaign. He said the SHS block would be completed in August next year so that new admissions would be made for the 2015/2016 academic year and expressed the hope that many people from the host community would gain admission into the school.
