The Founder and General Overseer of Ebenezer Miracle Worship Center, Prophet Dr. Ebenezer Opambour Adarkwa Yiadom has jumped to the defense of the of sacked District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South, Gabriel Barima.

According to him, the DCE was right in expressing his displeasure at the man who cast insinuation at him in the infamous Tweaa tape running viral on social media networks both in Ghana and across the globe.

The man of God said the DCE represents the President and for that reason the nation and any attempt by an individual or group of persons to hurl insults, aspersions and tantrums at him amounts to bringing the presidency into disrepute.

Prophet Yiadom in a television broadcast on Metro TV last Saturday condemned the man who whispered Tweaa in the tape while the DCE was delivering his speech and said the best that person could do was to lodge a complaint to the relevant authority if he had any issue with the chief executive or remain silent for the programme to run and not to pass an insulting comment or slight the president representative in that manner.

According to the prophet, the rate at which moral decadence is creeping into the very fabric of society is alarming and heart breaking and if not curbed, will drive the nation into the quagmire of immorality.

The Island city man noted that child to parent disobedience, insults on radio by serial callers during phone-in-segments, as well as insults on men of God and teachers are indeed a deep seated worry that should attract the concern of all.

He wondered why everybody is verbally abusing the chief executive, leaving the one behind the whole Tweaa saga.

He said he will continue to condemn the action by the young man on every platform he finds himself, adding that the younger generation must be taught to show respect to people in authority, as well as the elderly which is a virtue cherished so much in the country.

Prophet Yiadom called on the clergy, traditional leaders and teachers to continue to inoculate revered moral values in the youth for the sake of the future of the nation and the youth.
