Nana Addo Must Grow Out Of Partisanship Felix Kwakye Ofosu

Government has advised the 2012 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo to grow out of partisanship and adopt a more statesmanlike approach towards national discussions. This was in response to comments made by Nana Addo that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government is unable to govern the country properly. Nana Akufo-Addo at a meeting with party executives from the Eastern Region on Monday took a swipe at the Mahama administration accusing it a failing to address the hardship Ghanaians are going through. In response however, a Deputy Information and Media Relations Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu opined that Nana Addos comment was unfair. He explained that there is the need for a holistic analysis in analyzing a countrys performance by factoring in all the necessary variables in other to come to a conclusion whether or not the country is making progress. According to the Deputy Minister, despite the challenges which have bedeviled the country regarding certain sectors of the economy, is not to say that no progress has been made over the years. Mr. Kwakye-Ofosu maintained that considerable amount of development have been made by the NDC government to ensure that Ghanaians have a much better standard of living than we inherited. He therefore urged anyone who seeks to do an analysis of the current state of the nation to be honest and must admit successes that have been chalked even as they highlight it the challenges that we have. He also mentioned that Nana Addos comments are not surprising except, one would have thought that after several years of practicing politics, he would have grown out of such partisanship.
