Ill Make Akufo-Addo Lose Greater Accra Miserably...

The favorite to win National Democratic Congress Greater Accra regional chairmanship slot in the ruling partys upcoming regional executives election, Henry Ekow Manly-Spain, has drawn first blood in the immediate aftermath of Nana Akufo-Addos announcement of intent to contest to lead the New Patriotic Party into the 2016 election. In response to Nana Addos claim that he had decided to contest in response to a beckon by his party supporters and Ghanaians in general, Mr. Manly-Spain has promised that he will ensure that Nana Akufo-Addo loses Greater Accra miserably. By 2016, I will be the Greater Accra regional chairman of the great NDC, my promise to Akufo-Addo is that he will lose Greater Accra miserably to the NDC, III ensure that, Manly-Spain said in an interview over the weekend. The promise comes on the heels of Nana Akufo-Addos declaration last Thursday that he would seek to lead the NPP for the third consecutive time as flagbearer. Manly Spain pointed out that the President's magnificent development signatures in Greater Accra are a huge advantageous starting point for the defeat of Nana Addo in the region. Against all good reason, William Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is aiming at contesting for the Presidency of the country on the ticket of the NPP at the ripe old age of 72 years. Common opinion on the ground is that he will have a smooth sail through at his partys presidential primary, but from all indications, Ghanaians do not want a Mugabe on their hands. In the course of announcing the intent to contest, Nana Addo claimed that his intention to contest is in response to beckons by ordinary Ghanaians who are tied with the current NDC administration. Mr. Manly-Spain, who himself is lacing boots to contest for the position of Greater Accra regional chairman of his party, NDC, and is widely tipped to win, mocked the claim of Akufo-Addo that Ghanaians want him to replace John Mahama as President as a lofty dream. He will see the fallacy of his dream in the Greater Accra Region, by then I will be chairman, and I promise he will lose miserably, Mr. Manly-Spain said. He challenged Akufo-Addo to provide evidence that he was indeed wanted for President by Ghanaians, saying the evidence from President Mahamas good administration is too obvious for Ghanaians to ignore. He wondered the campaign message that Nana Akufo-Addo is aiming to present to the people, since President Mahama has decided to implement free senior High Education, the almighty promise that Akufo-Addo ran his campaign on in 2012. Mr. Manly-Spain said Akufo-Addo was in a repetition of error for the third time. He assumed wrongly in 2008 and 2012 and now he is assuming wrongly again for 2016; whatever makes him think hat Ghanaians want a frail old man as President? Manly-Spain urged supporters of the NDC to remain clam and wait for the NPP to repeat the mistake of presenting Nana Akufo-Addo again for 2016. He also urged the President not to allow the hot air that Nana Addo is blowing to derail his attention from the good work he is doing, saying in the long run, the good work of the President will debate the fanciful claims of Akufo-Addo.
