Criticism of Kyebi Water Project Exposes Shallow Thinking Traits - Asiedu Nketia

The General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated that the criticism of the government by the opposition, with regards to the commissioning of the Kyebi Water Project exposes shallow thinking traits. According to Johnson Asiedu Nketia, it is wrong for anyone to assume that the planned inauguration of a newly completed water treatment plant for the people of Kyebi, in the Eastern Region is an attempt to spite Nana Akufo-Addo. those who think the water project in Kyebi was done to spite Nana Addo are shallow minded, he told Adakabre Frimpong Manso on NEAT 100.9 FM . The NDC Chief Scribe made this assertion in response to claims that the government targeted the water treatment project in Kyebi, not to only provide the people of the area with potable drinking water but also to get on the nerves on the 2008 and 2012 presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, who was the member of Parliament for the area for 12 years. Many have described the governments provision of treated water for the people of Kyebi and its environs, as evident of the fact that the former NPP flagbearer, who is also a native of the area did nothing to raise the living standards of the his people. Meanwhile, others also believe that the government is using the water project as a smoke screen to erode the loyalty the people of Kyebi have for Nana Akufo-Addo but Asiedu Nketia disagrees and further describes it as shallow thinking.
