As part of new efforts to take merchandising seriously at Asante Kotoko, well designed and quality Kotoko polythene bags are to go on sale in Kumasi from next month according to a report in the Kotoko Express. The reports indicate that the Kotoko branded bags will start selling on pilot basis in three supermarkets. This came to light when Kotoko Express engaged the chief Executive officer of Kangyas Multi Scheme Develops Limited, Gyasi Gyantuah following a meeting with his consultancy firm and Kotoko managers. Asante Kotoko have struggled with fianances in recent years and the clubs' current hierarchy have sought to resort to merchandising and branding of the record Ghana league champions to generate funds for the operational running of the club.
