Ghanaian actress Ella Mensah was involved in a car accident in Nigeria last week. An articulated truck, according to reports, crashed into her Toyota Camry car, leaving her vehicle seriously damaged.
The tall actress was on her way to a movie set at a town called Ijebu in Benin, Nigeria, when the ill-fated incident took place.
It was unclear who was driving the actress� vehicle and the number of occupants on board, but signals picked from a family source in Ghana said Ella was safe and sound.
She reportedly received only minor injuries and has since been responding to treatment at the Ijebu Medical Centre. Ella left Ghana for Nigeria last Tuesday afternoon and the accident, which almost claimed her life, occurred on Wednesday afternoon.
She is one of the few Ghanaian actresses who are making fortunes in Nigeria�s Nollywood industry.
Since last year, she has been shooting films in Nigeria. She said in an earlier interview that her career was gradually picking up while denying speculations of being a bad girl due to her �wild� photos in the public domain.
