RESIDENTS OF Kumasi have raised concern about a high rise building in the Central Business district of Adum in Kumasi which poses a threat on lives in the vicinity. The 6-storey which construction stated years ago remains uncompleted and has remained unattended to for some time now as a result of which cracks have developed in the walls. The constituents, mostly traders are worried over the looming danger the building poses in the event of a heavy storm and have appealed to the city authorities to act quickly to prevent any calamities. A trader told The Chronicle during a visit to the area that �the building, seen as white elephant, is nothing but a death trap�. Some concerned traders at the area also appealed to the Inspectorate Unit and Development Control office of the KMA to inspect the building immediately to ascertain the safety or otherwise of the building. They said the KMA should be able to assure the public of their safety or take the necessary action before the unexpected happens.
