The General Manager of the Chronicle Newspaper has apologised profusely for a publication suggesting that the 2012 flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo has endorsed chairman aspirant Paul Afoko.
Ebo Quansah told myjoyonline.com the publication was a complete misunderstanding and very regrettable.
He said his paper, the Chronicle, will retract the story on Monday and apologise for the embarrassment the story has caused. He said as a professional journalist, he is "embarrassed" with the publication.
The former Director of Communications of the opposition New Patriotic Party had early on dismissed the report.
