Proposed National Economic Forum Will Help Govt - VEEP

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur is upbeat that the proposed national economic forum scheduled for 19th to 22nd of June this year will enhance efforts by government to achieve its set objectives for the year. He said the Ministry of Finance is putting together a document to form the basis for the national dialogue which will include the country�s bilateral partners. Vice President Amissah-Arthur said this at the Ghana - EU Political Dialogue Meeting at Flagstaff House in Accra. The meeting discussed EU�s assistance to the country, trade and investments partnership, the fisheries sector in Ghana and ECOWAS regional security and development challenges. Vice President Amissah-Arthur urged the meeting to take advantage of the agreements reached during the recently ended EU-Africa Economic Summit in Brussels, Belgium to deepen Ghana EU bilateral relations. The Head of the EU Mission in Ghana, Claude Maerten, assured government of EU�s support in addressing the challenges the economy is facing. The last Ghana - EU Political Dialogue Meeting was in July 2012.
