GFA Gives Out $30,000 As Financial Assistance To Medeama SC

The Ghana Football Association has offered a $30,000 financial package to CAF Confederations cup campaigners Medeama SC as a boost for their preparation ahead of the crunch match against AC Leopards Dolisie of Congo, Ghanasportsonline.com has gathered. The Tarkwa-based side are the only surviving Ghanaian club in the continental competitions this year and the football association has decided to push the Mauve and Yellows further in the campaign by relieving the club of some of their huge financial burden. The amount ($30,000), offered in assistance to Medeama was discussed at the GFA executive committee meeting earlier this week and would be made available to the club before they depart for Congo. The Football association had previously granted a $20,000 assistance to each of the four Ghanaian clubs that participated at the preliminary stage of the African club competitions this season. Medeama will leave Accra to Congo via Nairobi on Thursday for the Confederations cup knock out game on Sunday. Coach Roberto Carlos Paulettes side need a win over AC Leopards to make the return leg a less challenging encounter as they bid for a place in the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.
