Christians Asked To Prepare For Rapture

Pastor Robert Lugushie, Brong-Ahafo Regional Youth Coordinator of Deeper Life Church at the weekend advised Christians to prepare adequately as the second advent of Jesus Christ draw nearer. He emphasised that the biblical prophecy of the return of Christ is certain and unchangeable and Christians ought to remain in fellowship, be watchful and prayerful as this were the only ways they could maintained their faith and reached Christian maturity. Pastor Lugushie gave the advice when he preached a sermon at an Easter Retreat of the Deeper Life Bible Church at Ayakomaso, near Nsoatre in the Sunyani West District of Brong-Ahafo Region. The three-day retreat being attended by more than 1,500 members of the church drawn from Yamfo, Abesim, Chiraa, Nsoatre, Fiapre, Adrobaa, Afrisipa, Susuanso, Techire and Atronie was on the theme Living in His Victory. Pastor Lugushie warned that the second coming of Christ would take Christians unaware if their failed to prepare and watch over their lives. He noted with concern that the increase in crime, immorality and the current economic depression around the world were all indications of the end time the Bible spoke about. Pastor Lugushie said the torture, pains and mockery Christ went through on the cross would be meaningless if Christians continue to live in sin. The ultimate goal of the Christian life is to reach heaven, he said, and admonished sinners to take opportunity of the death of Christ Calvary and repent so as to escape Gods judgment and eternal condemnation. Pastor Yaw Osei Owusu, Brong-Ahafo Regional Overseer of the Church, emphasised that without holiness, faith and righteousness, it is impossible to see and pleased God, asking Christians to allow the teachings of the bible to reflect in their daily lives. A Christian walk, he observed was a walk of faith and stressed that indications and signs of Christ second coming are clear on the wall. Pastor Owusu asked Christians to love one another, support the needy in society and strive hard to endure persecutions and trials and temptation in order not to depart the faith.
