State Of Economy Dominates May Day

The state of the country�s economy will be the theme of this year�s workers� day � otherwise referred to as May Day. According to a release from the Ghana Trades Union Congress (TUC), the theme for this year�s celebration will be �Ghana�s Economy: A Concern For All.� To be organized under the auspices of organized labour, the commemoration will entail various activities. The TUC has 18 affiliates, some of which are the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSSAG), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), Industrial and Chemical Workers Union and Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOSAG). May Day according to a release on the subject, will feature workers� parades in the regional capitals.
